  • Visitors are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear masks
  • Avoid crowded playgrounds and minimize physical contact between kids
  • Outdoor playground equipment is not sanitized; use at your own risk
  • If you or your child feels sick or has any symptoms of COVID-19, stay at home
  • Wash hands with soap and water before and after playing or use hand sanitizer

PCA Board of Directors

To All Prestbury Residents,

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Cheshire Club and the Prestbury office will be closed until further notice.  We are continually monitoring the situation including evolving state guidelines and will make future decisions in a timely manner.

Please recognize the well-being of our Prestbury community members and our employees is always of utmost importance. Following the current recommendations on social distancing and group sizing will help to keep us safe and healthy as we all work together to protect each other during this difficult time.     We do realize that this disrupts plans many residents have made at the Cheshire Club in the near term but we believe that they will recognize the importance of this action.

In the interim, our PCA board assistant Nicki Leroy will be working normal hours at home.   She will be available via phone (331-454-2988) and email ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to handle all normal PCA business.    If absolutely necessary, she will be available to meet at the office by appointment.  Please recognize our goal is to conduct as much PCA business electronically and by phone as possible and limit unnecessary exposure to all.

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation.

With the pool season almost upon us, there has been great consideration given to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation and its effects on the 2020 PCA pool season. While all preparations necessary for opening at the usual time are underway and on schedule, at this time, we do not have clear direction from the Illinois Department of Public Health or the Governor’s office concerning the operations of pools. Therefore, based on advice that has been circulated by the CDC and the Illinois Department of Public Health, the opening of the pool will be delayed until June 15, 2020 or after, if at all. These plans are subject to change based on the guidance of the CDC, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Kane County. Additionally, the association must wait until the proper Phase opening for the pool in accordance with mandates set by the State of Illinois. The decision has not been made lightly, but rather with much consideration to state and local guidance, as well as CDC recommendations. It was also made after consultation with the pool management company, as well as the legal counsel to PCA. As soon as the situation changes, we will communicate to the community as quickly as possible those changes and any new dates that are applicable. We will have another update at the next Board Meeting on June 9th, 2020, and the subsequent community newsletter.

We sincerely appreciate the community’s understanding as it is the safety and well-being of the community with which this decision was reached. We wish everyone health, safety, and peace during this very difficult time.
