To All Prestbury Residents,  May 5, 2020

COMMUNITY UPDATE   In response to Illinois Governor Pritzker‚Äôs executive order issued on April 23, the Illinois stay at home order has been extended for another month through May 30, 2020.  There have been some changes to the restrictions that will allow some activities to resume but with the stipulation that six feet of social distancing must be maintained.  To that end, the Cheshire Club, the Prestbury office, the PCA Community pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, park equipment and the playgrounds will remain closed.   In alignment with the April 23 executive order, our PCA community open area and hiking trails are now available for outdoor recreation such as walking, hiking and activities that can be undertaken at a safe social distance.

MAY PCA BOARD MEETING   The PCA Board will be holding its normal monthly meeting on May 12.  This will be a remote access meeting conducted with a call-in number for both Board members and residents that choose to join remotely.     Please note the meeting will be conducted between 5:30 and 6:30 PM.

POOL   One of the key issues facing the Board is if/how we can open the Prestbury community pool.  Clearly, we cannot open on Memorial Day as we hoped but we do not know what the future restrictions will be going forward. Again the challenge will be managing social distance requirements as they are defined.  We are monitoring the situation closely and will respond accordingly as requirements evolve. In the meantime, the pool will remain closed at least through May 30, consistent with the state extension of the stay-at-home order and social distancing requirements.

COMMUNICATIONS Our PCA board assistant, Nicki Leroy, continues to work normal hours at home.   She will be available via phone (331-454-2988) and email ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to handle all normal PCA business.    If absolutely necessary, she will be available to meet at the office by appointment.

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation.

We have had reports of children, pets and teens walking on the lake ice.

We ask that you remind family to stay off the ice.

The lakes have aerators on all year, which allows open water and thin ice.

We have posted signs in common entrance areas that read "NO ACCESS TO LAKES IN THE WINTER, ALWAYS THIN ICE"

Please help spread the word

Thank you for your help,
